The Ravnen Long Dress is one of our classic styles. Featuring either our Naemi print in bright saffron and lilac or classic chocolate and navy, or our Mikro print in a navy and lime spot. This is a mid-length, sheer dress with a gathered waist seam for a fuller skirt. A set-in sleeve creates a neater fit and an accompanying slip lends modesty to the sheer fabric. A great option for day-to-day outfitting, it can be styled easily with a smart sandal or simple sneaker. You can also wear this style without the slip and layer it over a tank and our skinny Oslo Jeans in cooler weather.

Material

Main: 100% Viscose
Slip: 95% ECOVERO™ Viscose 5% Elastane

Lightweight and breathable, this fabric features a textured surface while remaining soft to the touch and is well suited to trans-seasonal wear. It is a sheer fabric with a lovely hand feel and nice, fluid movement.

We are working with not-for-profit organisation Canopy to ensure that all our forest-based fabrics are responsibly sourced from sustainable forestry and preference those with a green shirt ranking according to the most current CanopyStyle Hot Button Report. Our partnership with Canopy includes a commitment to ensure all of our viscose products have not been sourced from ancient and endangered forests. Our traceability systems confirm the viscose fibres in this garment are from green shirt rated producers.

The fabric used for the slip is a soft, comfortable jersey fabric. It contains a blend of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose fibres and elastane for a stretch finish.

Maker

This garment was designed in Melbourne by the ELK team and made by Tongxiang Jimmy Fashions in China. Jimmy has worked with us since 2010 making both woven and knitted apparel. Jimmy is actively working with us to make workplace improvements to ensure the factory is safe and compliant.

The factory is signed up to Sedex, and undertakes regular SMETA social compliance audits.

Size and Fit

This dress is a little more fitted through the top due to the set-in sleeve and gathered waist, flowing to a billowy, soft shape through the skirt. The key fit points to check for the best size are in the bust and waist. The accompanying slip has a lot of stretch and is held in place with small bra keepers in the shoulders.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.

• The fabric used for this garment is viscose, made from the natural and renewable cellulose fibres of wood pulp. It has a delicate feel, it is softer than cotton and more springy than silk. Viscose is durable, it breathes well and is lovely to wear. The construction of all viscose fabrics result in unique properties that perform differently to other fabrics and require specific care.
• We recommend cold hand washing in a mild detergent. Only wash when required to reduce water consumption.
• Gently pull the garment back into shape and air dry, either flat or hanging, in the shade. After washing, viscose will appear to have shrunk and will have a coarse hand feel. Don’t worry! Once it is dry, use a warm steam iron on the reverse. The fabric will iron out easily and regain its shape, hand feel and fluidity.
• On the first wash, there may be a small variance in length measurements from 1 to 3cm which our production team take into account in the design.
